Description
S.P.R. stands for Single Platform Rifle. Created for the future with stronger lighter materials and caseless ammunition in mind, the weapon uses an aperture style design for the rifling of the barrel. When a round is chambered, the rifling automatically conforms to the diameter of the bullet, therefore removing the need for multiple platforms for differing calibers. In addition to the self-expanding rifling, the larger the caliber means that the rifle has more noise suppression capability. The entire front barrel structure has a quick release mechanism for the ease of adding a longer R.I.S.. Not only that, the magazine well has automatic fitters to fit any size of magazine. The bolt-catch release is in front of the trigger for superior re-chambering capabilities as compared to a traditional bolt-catch release. The pistol grip features a fold out extender for when you need more grip on your rifle.
Done for a friend. I still don't know why he requested me to make him a rifle, but oh well.
This is probably as de-mechanically constructed as you'll see me get on the topic of firearms. I could've done lots better, but I didn't really want to make him wait any longer.
